Don’t let your dreams fall asleep

There are times in life when you wish from the bottom of your heart for something to happen and when your wish come true, instead of being happy, you don’t feel a thing, is like “ok…I did it…what should I do now? What’s next on my to-do list?” Sometimes the fight, the struggle, the adventure, the plans that you make to get your wish into reality, are better than the wish itself. The saying “Be careful what you wish because it may come true” has a bit of truth in it. I wonder why we lose the interest in something after we get it and immediately start thinking of another wish? Is it because we imagine that after we’ll get what we want our lives will dramatically change and when we see no sparkles, hear no hallelujah chorus our accomplishment seems not so great? The fact is that during the process of getting our wish into reality we evolve, we get stronger, we are not the same, we are better than we were at the beginning and that’s why we are ready for a bigger wish, a more challenging one. In the end we see the things differently and our wish does not seem so difficult as it seemed to be.
It’s like when we were kids and we wished to become a superhero and fight against evil (a real sailor senshi like Sailor Moon or a holder of a magic ring to be able to call for Captain Planet to save the world), then we grew up and wanted to be a rockstar. Time passed and our priorities changed and when we look back we laugh of our ingenuity. Small wishes and dreams made us what we are today. We should never give up having a dream, a wish even if it seems impossible.
“Don’t let your dreams fall asleep” is my advice for all.
